Message from the Pastor
Welcome to eMerge church, I am delighted that you have visited our website. It is my desire that we all grow closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My prayer for each of you is that you will spend time reading and studying God’s word so that you may continue to grow in Him. Together we can learn and grow as we seek to emerge into God’s will for our lives through the word, worship, and fellowship.
When you become a Christian…..
- Salvation – to save, help in distress, rescue, deliver, set free.
We are all sinners but God has provided deliverance from our sins according to Romans 3:20-26 “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”
Salvation is God’s free gift to mankind but we must Confess and Believe– Romans 10:9-10
Maturing as a Christian…..
- Growth – the act or process of growing, development, gradual increase, development from a simpler to a more complex stage.
Being mature or growing as a Christian requires that we be diligent in prayer, studying God’s word, and worship. I Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.” II Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Psalm 95:6, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”
Ministering as a Christian…..
- Discipleship – to teach to train
In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus said “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” This is known as the Great Commission and as Christians we desire to share the Truth which is Jesus Christ with all people. Discipleship is a great way to teach others and walk with them through the process of learning and growing as a Christian.
At eMerge Church we want to be people who consistently study God’s word, consistently worship God, and consistently fellowship together.
It is the job of the church to help you grow spiritually to draw closer to Jesus Christ, and live a holier life. None of us are perfect but all of us need to become closer in our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So we do these things on a daily basis to grow, to mature, and to disciple.
God Bless You Always,
